Self-quantifiers are people who are at the forefront of managing their health by taking advantage of the latest technologies. Many participate in the Quantified Self. They keep track of various aspects of themselves and their lives, with the expectation that they will learn something from this self-refection. They also often experiment with small changes in their lifestyle, diet, medications, and more, to see if they can improve their health. Some focus on specific issues such as pain and sleep, while others are more concerned about more general conditions such as alertness and mood.

Tonic is a great tool for self-quantifiers. It’s flexibility helps them to track whatever they choose to track, and the reminders help ensure that the experiments are carried out as planned.

About QS

“Quantified Self” defines itself as “a collaboration of users and tool makers who share an interest in self-knowledge through self-tracking. We exchange information about our personal projects, the tools we use, tips we’ve gleaned, and lessons we’ve learned. We blog, meet face-to-face, and collaborate online.” QS is managed by founders Kevin Kelly and Gary Wolf of Wired magazine, and Alexandra Carmichael of CureTogether. QS meetings currently take place in over 30 cities around the world. Follow QS through its Blog and Event Calendar, Forums, and the Complete Guide to Self Tracking.

QS, Tonic and the impact on Health
